She remains quiet as the voice on the other end of the phone echoes through the silence of the icey wastelands. She recognises it, even if it has been over a decade since they last met face-to-face. One she'd never thought to hear again. As the silence continues, the voice chuckles softly.

"Cat got your tongue?" the voice replies gleefully. Aiakos, picking up on his trainer's sudden change in attitude, stops and turns to look at her. Brynn swallows softly, eyes shifting back and forth to any possible hiding place. But the voice is faster. "No need looking for me, dear. You won't find me. But trust that this is not for the reason you think it is."

"Asking me to trust you is a bold statement," she bites back eventually, even though her body's shivering from the stress. "Why can't you just leave me alone?"

The Mamoswine appears from her left it’s initial appearance blocked by a dip in the ground, but mere moments away from being in her face. It’s towering over her and the Kirlia, but remains docile, continuing its track through the iced wastelands.

Neither the Unovan nor her partner let their sight wander from the gentle giant. Even the voice on the other end of the phone remains silent as it passes.

The voice laughs. “Fair enough.” It’s like she can hear the man shaking his head. “Look Bry…nn, I know you’re wary, but I swear this is not what you think it is.”
